Description

The base color of this Ang Pow is near Maroon Red, at both front and back cover of the ang pow. The interior of the Ang Pow is white. Design is printed on a high quality hard slightly mated laminated card paper envelope. The surface is smooth to the touch.

Front Cover

At the front cover, the couple kitties, standing side by side, male on the left side and female on right. Is a tradition for placing the male on the left and female on the right (Nán zuǒ nǚ yòu 男左女右). It is carefully considered as this will be Ang Pow for blessing the wedded couples. Both kitties occupy around 50% of the front cover.

Both kitties wearing traditional Chinese wedding groom, a two piece clothing known as Qún Kuà (裙褂), Kwà or Cheongsam. The gown is decorated with classic motifs which similar to traditional Chinese motifs, consists of curves, flowers and butterfly. The male kitty wear a decorative red flower designed from red cloth, usually of silk quality, in front of the chest which depict Luck. The female kitty have flower decoration on her forehead, and wear a pink face makeup.

The upper center of the front cover, there is a gold tinted wording which depict Double Happiness (Shuāng xǐ 双喜), is a symbol of marriage, where happiness is blessed on both side of the family in a auspicious day where two family become one.

The background is dashed with colorful party cones, confetti and ribbons, which is a modern element of celebration. Hence this Ang Pow cleverly combined both modern and classic elements.

Back Cover

The back cover depict a modern element of celebration with colorful party cones, confetti and rolled ribbons. With the cones at below and confetti on top, it portray a active motion in the picture.

At the center top of the back cover, there is a cleaver yellow color symbol of both kitty face outline and a Chinese character “fú 福” which means good luck, blessing or happiness in Chinese.

The Lid

The Ang Pow Lid is the non adhesive slot in type, which allows you to reuse the Ang Pow many times without damaging the delicate paper like most adhesive lids do. The semicircular shape of the lid and a cruciate cut at the body of the Ang Pow interlock each other to prevent money from felling out.
